I guess that the reflashing allowed us to play the game but there was more to it and the modders just looked over it because their goal was already completed.
With ODST being leaked and several other hits this year I'm sure Microsft were taking pressure from developers and publishers.
Piracy wasn't near as bad last year as it is this year.

Assassins Creed 2 is buggy as all hell.
Put on subtitles if you want to hear dialogue because sometimes it just cuts off for no reason when someone is talking.
Some missions will stall making you have to restart your game because you can't complete them because the NPC your following won't move.
The game is really on some bullsh1t.
Damn and this is nothing but an upgraded Unreal Engine 2 game and looks amazing.

Haven't had a good large ugly monster movie since Battlefield Troopers
It all matters the genre.
CoD single player is a good 5hours but it also has Spec Ops and Multiplayer.
MW2 single player on hardened or veteran can't be completed in 5hours tho.
You'll spend 30minutes alone clearing out the Favela on Veteran or else you'll die trying to run through.
I beat KZ2 in 5 and a half hours but I wasn't complaining because it was a fun ride.

Something I've learned
Don't play Multiplayer in HD Widescreen.
It might be a myth or just in my head but I play CoD hell of a lot better on my Square shaped SD television then on my 40inch Widescreen in HD.
Its quicker, and more precise when playing on SD it almost seems like the HD resolution makes the game slower.
I don't think it's cheating but if you play Gears of War 1 and aren't scared to put highlighter on your TV

I like that you can't be in party chat anymore in MW2 TDM.
It feels good being able to get your damn words across and at least have some teamwork going on.
Party Chat wasn't made for competitive online play.
It was made for socialism and organizing.
2 things that overall make the XBL community more efficient and fluid.

Modern Warfare has NO cutscenes.
Besides those little brief intermissions between levels that's about as close to a cutscene you'll be getting.
Imo if they would have just said that Makarov slaughtered the airport and the US soldier died causing an all out war in the intermissions that would have been very cheesy and the plot would have been vague and not understandable.
IW made the right choice with No Russian.
